AN OUTDATED SITE LOSING PATIENT TRUST

An Outdated Site Losing Patient Trust

Medlife Healthcare operated twelve modern clinics across three states, but their website told a different story — outdated design, broken mobile layouts, and a confusing service structure that frustrated patients seeking care. Online appointment bookings accounted for less than 8% of total scheduling. Staff reported fielding repetitive phone calls for information readily available on competitor sites. Medlife needed a digital experience that reflected their clinical excellence and made care accessible to every patient demographic.

02
PATIENT JOURNEYS & CLINIC WORKFLOWS

Patient Journeys & Clinic Workflows

We mapped complete patient journeys from symptom search to post-visit follow-up, identifying seven critical drop-off points on the legacy site. Heatmap analysis revealed 68% of mobile users abandoned the appointment flow at the insurance verification step. Stakeholder interviews with nurses, receptionists, and physicians uncovered workflow requirements often ignored by healthcare templates. Competitive benchmarking across 15 regional health systems documented best practices in trust signaling, doctor profiles, and accessibility compliance.

03
TRUST-FIRST, CONVERT-SECOND UX

Trust-First, Convert-Second UX

Our strategy prioritized trust before conversion. Every page would answer a patient question within five seconds of landing. Navigation would follow patient mental models — conditions, services, locations — not internal org charts. The appointment flow would reduce to three clear steps with progress indicators and mobile-first form design. Accessibility would meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards from day one, ensuring inclusive access for aging populations and assistive technology users.

FROM AUDIT TO LAUNCH IN 14 WEEKS

From Audit to Launch in 14 Weeks

The project moved through six structured phases: comprehensive UX audit, information architecture redesign, low-fidelity wireframes tested with real patients, high-fidelity visual design, responsive development, and accessibility QA. Weekly sprint reviews included Medlife's marketing team and clinic managers. We conducted two rounds of usability testing with 24 participants across age groups before launch, iterating on booking flow friction points identified in testing.

CALMING UI FOR EVERY DEVICE

Calming UI for Every Device

The interface uses calming blues and warm neutrals proven to reduce healthcare anxiety. Typography meets accessibility contrast ratios at every size. A intuitive service finder lets patients browse by condition, specialty, or location. Doctor profiles feature credentials, languages spoken, and patient reviews. The appointment widget integrates insurance verification, location selection, and calendar booking in a single persistent flow. Photography direction emphasizes diverse patients and welcoming clinic environments.

WORDPRESS BUILD & SEO FOUNDATION

WordPress Build & SEO Foundation

We built a custom WordPress theme optimized for Core Web Vitals — achieving 2.1-second average load time on mobile. HIPAA-conscious form handling protects patient data during submission. Local SEO schema markup covers all twelve clinic locations. A flexible CMS empowers Medlife's team to update services, staff profiles, and health articles without developer support. Post-launch, we provided analytics dashboards tracking booking funnel performance and content engagement.

Our new website finally represents who we are as a healthcare provider. Patients consistently tell us booking is effortless, and our front desk team handles 40% fewer routine inquiry calls.
